Our ‘Douar’ is typical of the traditional stone and rammed-earth dwellings of Berber villagers, constructed in several terraced stone stories. Located in the middle of the village of thirty or so Berber houses, the Douar Samra, so lovingly restored by Jacqueline using ancient, traditional methods, consists of 10 pretty, individual bedrooms and one bungalow, all in one unique house.
On planning your trip, Jacqueline can facilitate your arrival, by organising airport transfers in 4WD to and from the Douar to Marrakech airport, situated some 65km from Imlil.To get to the Samra, we use donkeys to carry your luggage from the nearest road stop up to your rooms.
